Get to Know the Disciplines

Kids only

40m sprint

This short-distance run is specially designed for younger kids. The goal is simple: run as fast as you can for 40 meters! It is all about having fun, moving your body and feeling the excitement of the race.

This discipline is not part of the UBS Kids Cup and is organized separately just for our little champions.

Kids only

Palam Porukkal

In this game, kids have to grab balls and place them in a basket as quickly as possible. Once all the balls are in, it is a sprint to the finish line! This mix of speed, coordination and excitement is perfect for younger children.

Palam Porukkal is a special discipline and not part of the UBS Kids Cup.

Kids only

Tennis ball Throw

In this discipline, kids throw a tennis ball as far as they can. This activity is a great way to improve coordination and body control while having fun.

Tennis ball throw is a special discipline and not part of the UBS Kids Cup.

Age 7 to 15

60m Sprint

The 60-meter sprint is a true test of quickness and reaction time. Open to all children between 7 and 15 years old, this race is all about who can reach the finish line the fastest.

It is one of the three official disciplines of the UBS Kids Cup and counts towards qualification for the Grand Finale in Winterthur. So bring your energy – every second matters!

Age 7 to 15

Long jump - Zone

Our long jump is a little different from the traditional version. Instead of a fixed take-off board, participants can jump from anywhere within an 80cm take-off zone, making it easier and more fun for younger athletes to focus on their jump.

Just like the sprint, this discipline is part of the UBS Kids Cup and counts towards qualifying for the Grand Finale in Winterthur.

Age 7 to 15

200g Ball Throw

In this event, kids throw a 200-gram ball as far as they can. It is a fun way to build strength and improve coordination while learning proper throwing technique.

This discipline is part of the UBS Kids Cup and is important for qualifying for the Grand Finale in Winterthur.

Ages 16 and up

100m Sprint

This 100-meter sprint is open to anyone aged 16 and above who wants to challenge themselves and feel the thrill of a classic sprint race. Whether you are a seasoned runner or just enjoy a friendly competition, this race is a great chance to push your limits and have fun.

Unlike the younger categories, this event is not part of the UBS Kids Cup, but it is an important highlight of our sports meet, encouraging fitness and community spirit across all ages.

Ages 16 and up

Classic Long Jump

This is the classic long jump event for participants aged 16 and above. Unlike the zone long jump for younger kids, here you take off from a fixed board and aim to jump as far as possible.

This event is not part of the UBS Kids Cup but offers a great opportunity for older athletes to showcase their power and technique.

Ages 16 and up)

Shot put

The shot put is a classic athletics event where strength and precision are key. Participants aged 16 and above throw a heavy metal ball, called the “shot,” as far as they can. It is not just about raw power – proper technique and timing make all the difference in achieving a great throw.

This event is not part of the UBS Kids Cup. The shot put is a fantastic way to engage in a discipline that combines explosive energy with skillful control.
